Vaccine: Duvaxyn® WNV

Fort Dodge continues to lead the way in protecting horses against West Nile virus.
The first company to develop and licence a West Nile virus vaccine in the United States:
- a vaccine that was the only vaccine available in the United States at the height of the 2002 outbreak which affected just over 15,000 horses, and
- a vaccine that was credited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to contribute to the 70 per cent decline in U.S. equine WNV cases since the height of the outbreak.
An inactivated, whole virus vaccine, this vaccine – proven in the face of an outbreak – is now the first West Nile virus vaccine to be licensed in Europe.
